      The care provider realized very quickly that what I was hoping to accomplish through surgery was not achievable. However, he spent time discussing my situation and was supportive of my past success and focused on what I could achieve with a different plan forward. He encouraged me to focus on a different path forward. He was honest, empathetic, and still had some good solutions to pursue.
